Ghent operates as Buddhakado Ghent · Karuna. Koksijde uses the name Budokai-do · Yantra and is listed on this site as an affiliate. Both systems share the same historical origin: in Europe Buddhakado was known as Budokai-do for a period before the original Nepali name was restored.
The regular training sessions in Ghent are on Monday and Friday from 18:30 to 20:00. Members also arrange additional sports sessions together from time to time. We also take part in larger karate camps within the wider full-contact karate family.
No. There are no separate youth classes. From around age 12 we generally do not expect problems with following the curriculum and taking part in light contact. For younger children, the trainers assess participation individually based on maturity.
